transcribed by Frederick Hohman One of several orchestral miniatures composed by Charles Gounod during the 1870s. It gained popularity in the United States in the 1960s as the theme music for a television series produced by Alfred Hitchcock. The piece is a musical depiction of a scene in which a marionette takes a tragic and fatal fall and a funeral procession then follows. Easy to medium.
